ANTI TRUMP: JEWELS AND WALLS: The jewellery company, which was bought by American-based American Eagle, said in a statement that it was now part of the Trump administration.
The Trump administration has not commented on the announcement.
A spokeswoman for the US Treasury said the US was “committed to protecting US assets abroad”.
A spokeswoman at the State Department said the department had no comment.
The jewellers said the new administration had been “exercising the rule of law”.
The jeweller owners said they would be able to use American Eagle’s trademark for jewellery products, and they would continue to trade with them.
The president-elect had promised to fight for the interests of American workers.
But Mr Trump’s transition team did not say when he would take office.
The American Eagle jewellering group said in an earlier statement: “We are thrilled to have been part of this administration and look forward to continuing to work with the Trump Administration to achieve our shared mission to serve our country.”
