Kay Jewelers, the first independent jewelry store in Olive Park, is opening its doors to the public this summer.
The store is located at 801 Olive Avenue and will offer a wide selection of quality jewelry and accessories.
Owner Erin Jones says it’s a great opportunity to offer a diverse selection of jewelry and make the shop an easy shopping experience for our customers.
“It’s not just about jewelry, it’s about making the jewelry, making the items that we sell,” said Jones.
The Olives store is the first store of its kind in the neighborhood, located in a quiet neighborhood on Olives Avenue, a street lined with small homes and businesses.
“Our goal was to bring in an outlet for our local business community, to bring that to people that are out of their way,” said Olives resident and Olives City Councilwoman Karen Fenton.
Kay Jewelers is one of two Jewelers of the Year finalists selected by the Olives Neighborhood Business Improvement District.
In addition to the award, the winners will be announced in May at the Jewelers Association of New Orleans’ annual awards banquet.
Jones said she was excited to open the store and hopes to make it an attractive and welcoming place for all to visit.
“It’s really important for us to bring the community together and to get to know each other, and to build trust in one another and to help people,” said Moore.
The shop will offer two levels of pricing.
The first is $30 for a limited-edition limited-run piece of jewelry that will be hand-selected by the store’s owner.
The second is $50 for a more exclusive piece that will not be available on the first floor.
The jewelry is sold at the shop, and you can check out the shop’s Instagram and Twitter accounts for more information.
