New York’s mother has found jewelry that she thinks her son may have stolen, after his car broke down and she called 911.
The mother of the 12-year-old boy was at a local mall Wednesday morning when she found a package in the car of his father, Daniel S. Johnson.
When the police arrived, they asked the boy’s father for identification and the police discovered a white-colored car had been reported stolen from a gas station in the Bronx, according to NBC New York.
When police questioned the boy, they found he didn’t know the owner, according a police statement.
He was then taken to a hospital where he underwent a dental exam and is now in custody.
The boy’s mother, Jennifer Johnson, told the station she is relieved to be able to find jewelry that belonged to her son.
